Adnuntius Redefines Video Ad Serving

By Stian Remaad, CEO of Adnuntius

The demand for video inventory is at an all time high among advertisers. At the same time supply remains limited, and slow loading wastes valuable space.

You can now use Adnuntius to stream video ads into banners and players, and automatically have them transcoded.

While Adnuntius has supported videos all along, whether they’re played inside banners or as prerolls, we are now equipped with the technology to make the most out of the video on any device - adapting to the format, ad content and bandwidth that best suit the streamers needs.

Immediate Impressions with Streaming

You want creatives that load instantly and generate more viewable impressions, no matter how heavy the file is. With regular video ad serving the problem is that the whole file needs to load before it starts playing. That waiting time is crucial; by the time the video starts playing the user may have already scrolled past the placement. And no view is counted!

Adnuntius is already one of the world’s fastest ad servers, and combined with streaming to ensure that videos start playing instantaneously (meaning, the whole file doesn’t have to load before the ad starts playing) you are sure to never lose out on a viewable impression again!

In-Banner or as VAST

All video files can be hosted on our CDN and can be rendered in our so-called “layouts”. Layouts make it easy to reference video files for use in VAST documents, or to serve ads in banner placements.

Automatic Transcoding

We transcode that video into a variety of formats automatically:

  • The videos are scaled to different sizes.

  • The videos are split into small segments for excellent streaming.

  • Audio is normalised (ITU-R BS.1770-2).

  • Apple streaming (HLS) at low, medium and high resolutions.

  • MPEG streaming (DASH) at low, medium and high resolutions.

  • MP4 at very low, medium and high resolutions.

  • MOV at very high resolution.
