Adnuntius Appoints Rune Paulseth as CEO

Adnuntius has appointed Rune Paulseth as its new CEO, effective 1 September 2026.

Adnuntius has appointed Rune Paulseth as its new CEO, effective 1 September 2026. The appointment marks the start of a new growth phase for the company as it moves to scale its operations beyond the Nordics and into the broader European market.

Paulseth brings over 25 years of experience across the technology, media, and advertising industries. He previously served as Country Manager for Facebook in Norway — where he established the company's Norwegian operations — as well as Country Manager for Microsoft Advertising, Sales Director at Aller Media, Digital Director at Eniro, and CEO of IAB Norge for nine years.

"Adnuntius has built something very few manage to achieve: a genuine position with most of the leading publishers in the Nordics, as an independent alternative in an industry where almost none remain," said Paulseth. "What ultimately made the decision for me was that this is not just a Nordic story. The technology and the model are equally relevant across the rest of Europe, and we are already seeing clear signals that demand for European alternatives is growing."

Paulseth spent considerable time evaluating the business before accepting the role. "The more I looked at it — the numbers, the market, and where the value actually lies — the more interesting it became. This is a long-term growth journey, and that is the journey I have said yes to leading."

Chairman Gert W. Munthe welcomed the appointment: "We have built a company with a strong market position, an attractive customer portfolio, and a product that solves real challenges for publishers and advertisers. Now it is about taking the next step. We have brought in Rune because he has the experience, the commercial understanding, and the international perspective needed to lead Adnuntius forward."

Adnuntius expects revenue of approximately NOK 50 million in 2026 — an increase of around 80% from 2025 — with an EBITDA margin of approximately 30%. The company serves most of the leading publishers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, and operates across programmatic advertising, political advertising, ad serving, and retail media.
