EU Political Advertising Transparency

Report a political ad breach

We enable publishers and advertisers to run political advertising. If you see something that looks illegal or non-compliant, let us know and we will look into it.

What the EU rules mean for you

As political advertising grows, the EU has put in place rules to ensure transparency. As a reader you should be able to recognise political ads, understand who is behind them, and know if they are targeted — and of course in accordance with privacy law already in place.

Political ads must be labelled so it is clear that it is in fact a political ad, and also contain information about the sponsor, the election in question, the amount paid for the ad, and any use of targeting.

Our commitment

If you report a potential breach, Adnuntius and its publishing partners will review the report and provide a response and conclusion within 2 working days. Depending on the complexity of the matter we may take longer, but we will let you know in that case.

Unknown or missing sponsor
